Why Local Authority & Public Park Lighting Needs a Different Approach
Public parks, community ovals and MUGA courts owned by local councils are not private training grounds. They operate under tighter rules: neighbour complaints about light spill, AS/NZS 4282 obtrusive-light limits, AS 2560 sports-lux targets, vandalism risk, and maintenance budgets that cannot absorb frequent cherry-picker callouts.

Our sports-lighting line is built around two proven families:
•40SL Round LED Sports Light – 500 W / 600 W / 750 W (also 800 W 37SL variant), pure AL1070 cold-forged aluminium, 150–170 lm/W, UGR <19, IP66, −40 °C to +45 °C.
•41SL Circle LED Sports Light – 300 W / 400 W / 500 W, die-cast aluminium, tempered glass lens, NEMA 2–6 optics, same IP66 and smart-control ecosystem.
Both series use LumiLEDs/CREE SMD5050 LEDs, Inventronics or equivalent drivers, 10 kV/20 kV surge protection, 360° adjustable brackets, quick-plug wiring and removable driver boxes.

What “Durable” Means for a Council Park
When we specify durable LEDs for public parks, we mean:
•Vandal-tolerant build – die-cast/cold-forged aluminium, tempered glass, low EPA, no exposed fragile parts.
•Weather-proof – IP66 enclosure, UV-stable PC/tempered lens, wide thermal range for coastal, desert or alpine parks.
•Glare-controlled – UGR <19, NEMA 15°–55° optics to keep light on the court, not into lounges.
•Spill-compliant – beam shaping and aiming designed to satisfy AS/NZS 4282 environmental-zone limits at the boundary.

•Low lifecycle cost – 100,000 h rated life, 150–170 lm/W, optional DALI/0–10V/DMX512 dimming so training nights run at 50–100 lux and match nights scale up.
•Maintenance-friendly – plug-in driver module means a technician changes a box in minutes instead of dropping the whole luminaire.
