The 46SL can deliver up to 225,000 lumens with efficacy of up to 140–170 lm/W . The appropriate wattage should be selected according to oval dimensions, pole height, existing fixture locations, target illuminance, and uniformity requirements rather than simply replacing an existing Metal Halide lamp watt-for-watt.
High-Mast Optics for AFL Ovals
Large football ovals often require long-throw lighting from high mounting positions. The 46SL provides multiple beam options, including 10°, 15°, 20°, 40°, 60°, and 90° .
Narrower beams can concentrate light over longer distances, while wider optics can provide broader coverage. Final beam selection should be verified using IES/LDT photometric calculations to optimize illuminance, uniformity, glare, and light spill.
Outdoor Performance for Large Sports Facilities
The 46SL features IP66 protection and a durable aluminium housing designed for demanding outdoor applications. Optional 20kV surge protection provides additional electrical protection for exposed high-mast installations.
